Exciting Things

We are so happy about Ross getting a job at CSX. He will start January 25th and be in the Bridge Management Trainee Program. We have known for over a month now that he had the job but did not tell most people until this past Friday. Ross began interviewing with them back in September/October and then we went to Jacksonville twice in November for two more interviews. Ryan and I did make the trips to Jacksonville with him. We dropped him off at the office and we went to have fun. On the first trip down there Ryan and I went to the zoo. The zoo there is great and the weather was wonderful. On our second trip we went Christmas shopping at this huge outdoor shopping mall.

The sign for the railroad station at the zoo. It was a surprise to us that CSX donated the train & tracks to the zoo.

As you all know Ryan loves trains just as much if not more than his Daddy. For his Birthday we bought him his own O Scale locomotive. We were fairly confident that Ross was going to be offered the job at CSX so we bought Ryan a CSX Locomotive. I thought that it would mean more to him one day when he realizes that the logo on his train is the company that his Daddy works for. Luckily no one at Ryan party asked any questions as to why we bought the CSX train.

As we begin the next phase of Ross career, there is one thing that I will especially miss. I will miss the company gathering where we got to socialize with some amazing friends. When Ross took his job at TIC we didn't only gain a job for him but we met so many wonderful people that we have the pleasure of calling our friends. Now we will have to find time outside of work events to get together and have fun. Just think there will lots of catching up to do since our husbands won't see each other all the time at work.
